All participants are advised to read the below Important Notes carefully and prevent missing any details.
For more details, please note the guidelines and regulations on the website (https://gleader.org/final) and in the attached ‘Final Round Guidelines.’
Print out (or save as .pdf) your Identification Slip(Available until 3 June 6 pm (VST)) by logging into the GLEC Online Platform (http://essay.gleader.org/vietnam/) with your Full Name, Email and Date of Birth (yyyymmdd). If you fail to log in, inquire us at glec@hopetofuture.org for your log in details. *ID Slip acts like a final round ticket with individual Registration No., entrance time, and Zoom URL for each applicant. If you do not bring it to the competition, you may not be able to verify as a finalist.
All finalists should enter the Zoom room at their designated ‘Entrance Time,’ which is 30 minutes ahead of your ‘Exam Time.’ Being late or absent may badly affect your score. All times are under Vietnam Standard Time (VST), and you can convert into your own time zone here: https://bit.ly/3x8LZqF
The entire process of the Global Leadership English Challenge 2022 will be held online, and participants must prepare an internet connection, ONLY ONE personal computer with a camera, microphone and speaker (Both Speech and Essay participants). * Smartphones, tablets, computers other than the one you are using to take the contest and other electronic devices are NOT allowed.
As part of a monitoring and further examination, the entire contest procedure will be recorded. All participants are considered to consent to the video/audio recordings and the use of recordings being used by the GLEC Vietnam Secretariat.
[For Speech applicants] Each speech will be made in a separate room, with one staff and two judging panels. Any final speeches should be based on the script, but it is highly encouraged to memorize and NOT read the script since we ask you to give a “prepared” speech, not an impromptu.
[For Essay applicants] Essay topics will be informed on the final round date, based on the same SDG Goal provided in the preliminary round. The overall study is recommended, and any web surfing, opening a new tab, or bringing notes are strongly prohibited. *See preliminary round topics: https://gleader.org/11
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding the competition.
