Thank you so much for your interest in the Global Leadership English Challenge India 2021.
Global Leadership English Challenge (GLEC) is hosted by Hope to the Future Association (HFA), a non-profit organization under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea that has achieved the status of associated Civil Society Organization with the United Nations Department of Global Communications (UN DGC; https://www.un.org/en/department-global-communications). HFA operates both International Understanding Education Program and Sustainable Sponsorship Program to foster the global competence of domestic youth.
GLEC is greatly supported by UN-affiliated institutions such as the United Nations Academic Impact, an initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of United Nations goals and mandates. Through the competition, the participants (4th grade ~ University students) are asked to analyze global issues, point out the problems of the status quo, and suggest a solution from their perspectives. The youth can formulate concrete ideas on how to tackle global challenges and develop critical thinking.
The final winners of the Regional Final Rounds are invited to participate in the GLEC Global Conference, Training Program on the United Nations, UN SDG Book Club Intensive Reading Study, ETS Essay Criterion or other gift-boxes. Through these events, winners will have the opportunity to learn from UN high officials, Scholars, Ambassadors, and International Organization Experts, expecting to create a synergy between the professionals and the youth from Vietnam, China, Japan, and Korea and other countries in the world.
