This is Hannah from Hope to the Future Association, a Civil Society Organization representative at the United Nations Department of Global Communications, as a host of the Global Leadership English Challenge. We have been organizing the Global Leadership English Challenge within Asian countries starting from 2012, and GLEC has grown up to be the largest and premier English speech/essay contest for the youth worldwide on the subject of the United Nations and international issues.
For GLEC, we are calling on the participation of the youth by selecting the theme of competition as the annual UN agenda and desirable targets for everyone in the world. GLEC starts from Regional Preliminary Round and Regional Final Round followed by the Global GLEC Conference (https://gleader.org/ggc) all online-based at https://gleader.org/. We invite students from 4th grade to the undergraduate from all nations to where the winners will have the opportunity to learn from UN high officials, scholars, and ambassadors, expecting to create a synergy between the professionals and the youth.
For GLEC India (Online registration period 2021/11/15 – 2021/12/17), students holding an Indian nationality will be considered as Domestic and the others will be considered as International, and the evaluation will be made as distinguished. The past project, GLEC Vietnam, has included students from more than 10 countries including China, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and so on.
